Mrs. Urmil Bakhshi W/O Brig. Bakhshi, had been an army wife for 26 years.
Teaching in various prestigious schools all over the country, adding value to Army wives association, raising 3 illustrious children ,1 Son Engineer, 1 Son and 1 Daughter, both Doctors in USA, had been her life.
Bakhshi’s settled in Kota after taking vearly retirement from army. Thereafter they set up Spring Dale nursery school with 8 children, which later went to grow to 4 senior schools.
Today Mrs. . Bakhshi heads these schools, mentoring 2700 children along with her elder son Retd. Rear Admiral Vineet Bakhshi .
Known to all as a woman of steel, Mrs. Bakhshi was detected with Colon cancer, in advanced stage at age 78yrs. She faced her battle head on.
With sheer display of grit, discipline, faith, determination, along with support of her family and team of army doctors, defeated the deadly disease and today she stands victorious.
She states, “It’s her purpose in life which gave her the drive to go on, and continue the legacy, even when she is 89 years young to day.
She shares her victories of bravado with us.
